Mi web se hace más lenta a medida que pasa el día Buenas a todos tengo un problema con un vps que tiene ubuntu 8.04 instalado. Estoy usando vbulletin y wordpress y estoy viendo que con el comando top hay unos picos de CPU muy elevados por parte del proceso apache2. Como user aparece www-data. Respuesta: Mi web se hace más lenta a medida que pasa el día Hay maneras de optimizar tanto Apache como MySQL para que consuman menos recursos, pero a lo mejor en tu caso es que simplemente recibes más visitas de las que puede manejar tu entorno actual. Lo ideal es que publiques más información, como por ejemplo las características del entorno (CPU, RAM, etc), el número de visitas diarias, el número de visitas simultáneas, los valores de configuración que tienes en Apache y en MySQL, etc. Si no das esa información, no creo que nadie pueda adivinarlo. : )

Respuesta: Mi web se hace más lenta a medida que pasa el día Claro que posteo los detalles, es que antes hice un post explicando algo similar pero no sabía exactamente la causa del problema. Bueno me he tirado toda la tarde para hacer algunas cosas, pero os adjunto toda la info de la que dispongo. Para empezar la CPU es un Intel Xeon de 4 núcleos a 2.7 GHz. Tengo 1GB de RAM, 20 GB de disco, 800GB de transferencia. El Sistema Operativo que uso es el Ubuntu 8.04 con plesk, que venía de serie y tiene Apache en su última versión. Usando el comando top he visto que el proceso apache2 se lleva unos picos de CPU muy altos llegando al 60%. La web consta de un vBulletin y Wordpress, que no tienen muchos plugins instalados. Solo 2 o 3. Respecto a las visitas diarias pues te diría que aproximadamente entre 6000 y 8000 al día un valor que oscila entre esas 2 cifras. Como usuarios conectados al mismo tiempo aproximadamente unos 300 como muy muy muy alto valor, normalmente oscila entre 100 y 200. Después en cuanto a los valores de apache yo no he tocado nada viene todo de fábrica, pues apenas he tenido oportunidad de iniciarme con el VPS. Se que hay unos archivos que se llaman apache2.conf y otro httpd.conf, este ultimo está vacio no tiene nada de texto osea 0 bytes y el otro parece tener ciertas configuraciones con explicaciones.
