[SOLUCIONADO] Error en conexion a SQL Server 2012

Hola a todos:

Tengo un equipo con windows server 2012, y un procesador XEON. tengo una aplicacion que usa ADO para conectarse a la base de datos, el detalle es que la base de datos se conecta a instancias SQL Server 2005. Y por lo que he visto la cadena de conexion para 2012 es diferente.

Intente instalar el Cliente nativo de sql server 2005 pero me indica que el cliente no soporta el tipo de procesador. ¿Alguien sabe donde lo puedo obtener? o bien como poder conectar la aplicacion a SQL Server 2012?

Revisa los ejemplos de CADENA DE CONEXION, veamos si sirve de algo

Gracias por responder. La cadena de conexion que estoy enviando es:

data source="192.168.0.1\sqlserver, 1433";initial catalog=AdventureWorks2012


tambien intente con:

Provider=SQLNCLI10;Data Source=TCP:198.168.0.1\SQLServer,1433;Initial Catalog =Mibasededatos;Persist Security Info=True;User ID=miusuario;Password=mipassword

Y obtengo el mismo resultado...

Se produjo un error durante el intento de conexión ya que la parte conectada no respondió adecuadamente tras un periodo de tiempo, o bien se produjo un error en la conexión establecida ya que el host conectado no ha podido responder.

¿Estoy haciendo algo mal?

El SQL permite conexiones remotas?

Puede que este ell Firewall de Windows impidiendo la conexión..

Hola a todos:

Les comento que ya pude realizar la conexion sin problema, el detalle estuvo en 2 cosas
1. Estaba instalando el cliente nativo de SQL Server 2005 incorrecto, baje la version para 64 bits y la instale y no tuve problema para instalarla
2. El firewall de windows.

Les agradezco mucho su apoyo.
