Nada de esto tiene realmente que ver con MySQL. Son errores de PHP, especialmente el segundo que es absolutamente de PHP.

Lo que puede suceder con el primer caso es que las variables usadas no contengan lo que tu supones que deben tener, pero en cualquier caso el primer bloque de código que pones es demasiado confuso siquiera para poder analizarlo. Contiene tanto PHP que es imposible a simple vista saber si el PHP está metiendo errores de sintaxis en el SQL.
No te olvides que PHP no es SQL... ni siquiera dependen el uno del otro.
Consulta en el Foro de PHP si ellos creen que ese código no está entregando datos nulos o vacíos.

Hola gonzalitoplate, todos los errores pueden estar relacionados (por lo menos los 2 primeros). Porque no agregas esta línea en tu mysql_query a ver que dice MySQL:

Ver originalor die(mysql_error());

Trata de imprimir la constante DB_PLAYERS y la variable $plyrname antes de consultar, a ver si traen contenido.

Esperemos que se pueda mover el tema a PHP pronto.
