Demasiados Rewriterule?

Estoy redirigiendo alguna de mis páginas en el .htaccess con:

RewriteRule .....

Tengo además 3 redirect 301 en el mismo archivo .htaccess

La pregunta es por qué al tercer RewriteRule que hago me da un error 500 que dice lo siguiente

Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, [email protected] and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Suele pasar, si andas con el mod Rewrite en el .htaccess, que éste esté mal configurado. Algún error tipo punto, punto coma, coma...

Demasiados, pues no creo que eso pase nunca. Aunque, el uso abusivo relentiza bastante el servidor, ya que el mod Rewrite de Apache consume algún que otro recurso.
