problema de instalacion vbulletin 3.0.7.

hola a todos, mi problema esta en que cuando modifico el archivo config.php y despues em conecto me dice database error

por que me pasa esto ?

lo que yo modifico es lo siguiente

Consiguete una versión mas reciente de vBulletin yo tengo la 3.6.8 y la ultima es la 3.7.0, pero esta en RC (Release Candidate, por lo tanto todavía no es estable).

Y ahi me comentas, aparte que con una versión mas nueva estas protegido de los bug o vulnerabilidades que tiene como todo sistema de foros vBulletin.

instale 3.6.9 tengo el mismo problema, no me doy cuenta cual es el error si es del archivo o si lo cometo yo

Bueno si te pasa el mismo problema, chequea que hiciste esto:

1) Crear una base de datos nueva (sin ninguna otra tabla)
2) Crearte un usuario y una contraseña ó tener los datos que te da tu hosting para acceder a la BD
3) Veo que no le pusiste prefijo (table_prefix) en tu 1er post, Ponle por ejemplo "miforo_", siempre ponle un _ para que no te quede asi "miforotablavbulletin1".
4) Asegurate de cumplir los requisitos minimos de vBulletin (PHP 4.3.3 y MySQL 4.0.16 o superior)
