Problema con Estilo Menu

Tengo este estilo en un menu pero en Internet explorer funciona correctamiente y en firefox no me salen las pestañitas.

Cual puede ser el problema.

Cambia esto:

background:url(../images/boton_menu_tot.gif) no-repeat;

Por esto:

background-image:url(../images/boton_menu_tot.gif) no-repeat;

Gracias men por responder pero no me funciono me deja sin efectos el menu me lo deja estatico.

Tiene alguna otra sugerencia?
