Problema para configurara jsf o implementar

tengo el siguiente error con tomcat y jsf y no se como arreglarlo alguna sugerencia :

puede ser que intentes llamar directamente a la pagina, de la forma habitual:

http://localhost/miAplicacion/pagina.jsp

esto te dara el error anterior.

busca en el web.xml (dentro de la carpeta WEB-INF) el siguiente segmento de texto:

        <servlet-name>Faces Servlet</servlet-name>
        <url-pattern>*.jsf</url-pattern>
    </servlet-mapping>

en mi caso tendria que escribir:

http://localhost/miAplication/pagina.jsf

(observa la extension, JSF en lugar de JSP).

en tu caso puede variar.
