y lo que necesito hacer es que cada dia se ejecute una consulta mysql, por lo cual hice lo siguiente:
(tomando en cuenta que mi version mysql 5.0 no acepta events)

asi de sencillo, despues hice un shell o un archivo sh con los datos de coneccion para que ejecute ese sql:

y el caso es que corro el shell y en lugar de que ejecute la consulta salen como cosas de configuracion o no se que, reviso en la base de datos y no se realizo el delete.mysql -u myuser -p mypass mybdname < script.sql
esto me sale al ejecutar:
