Instalé flashplayer9 en firefox, pero no se activan los plugins

Tengo instalado mozilla-firefox 1.0.4 en Debian Stable.

ME guié por la web de adobe así :
1. Click the "Download .tar.gz" link. A dialog box will appear asking you where to save the file.
2. Save the .tar.gz file to your desktop and wait for the file to download completely.
3. Unpackage the file. A directory called install_flash_player_9_linux will be created.
4. In terminal, navigate to this directory and type ./flashplayer-installer to run the installer. Click Enter. The installer will instruct you to shut down your browser(s).
5. Once the installation is complete, the plug-in will be installed in your Mozilla browser. To verify, launch Mozilla and choose Help > About Plug-ins from the browser menu.

Y lo hice así desde consola :
#/install_flash_player_9_linux# ./flashplayer-installer

Acerca del punto 5 para ver en el menu Help > About Plug-ins, en mi menú no aparece la opción Plugins.

Aparecen :

> Promote Firefox
> About Mozilla Firefox

Hola:

Estas poniendo mal los directorios amigos.... Los directorios son:

/usr/lib/mozilla
/usr/lib/firefox (este es un enlace simbolico a firefox-x.x.x)
/usr/lib/firefox-x.x.x

Trata listando el directorio TU MISMO desde una Terminal/Shell:

shell# ls -l /usr/lib | grep mozilla
...//te aparecen

shell# ls -l /usr/lib/ | grep firefox
... //te aparecen

Instala de nuevo y listo !! ;)

Estos son los browser que aparecen en mi directorio :

#ls /usr/lib
...
mozilla
mozilla-firefox
....

Por eso seleccioné mozilla/firefox

# ls -l /usr/lib | grep mozilla

Esta todo correcto en /usr/lib no ?
