Inicio lento en Ubuntu

El problema que tengo es cuando empieza a cargar UBUNTU (8.04) con esa barra naranja. Antes tardaba segundos, ahora minutos. ¿Hay alguna carpeta que deba fijarme? ¿archivos que borrar? ¿Que soluciones hay?

Hola Spike, a ver vamos a lo más básico no encontre ningun error aparente en lo que enviaste (mejor era un archivo de texto pero bueno jajaja), lo unico que vi fue un error en ACPI pero por lo que encontre por ahi es un bug que no ha sido resuelto y no afecta el tiempo de arranque.

Es una laptop con una tarjeta inalambrica?
Instalaste algo recientemente antes que se empezara a poner lenta?

nono, no es laptop, no tiene ningun accesorio inalambrico. Lo ultimo que habia instalado creo q fue el apache el php myphpadmin y mysql, que depaso ahora los quiero borrar y nose como jejeje, ya lo puse en el foro de ubuntu eso igual.

Podrías iniciar en modo de recuperación. Si tu sistema no muestra el menú de grub, presiona esc apenas salga el aviso de que grub está cargando y selecciona el último kernel en ·recovery mode", así podrás leer todos los procesos que ejecuta al iniciar el sistema y ver cual de ellos es el que ocasiona la tardanza.

bueno para enpezar les cuento que soy nuevo en esto de ubuntu ps fijence que instale ubuntu 8.04 en una laptop toshiba no muy rapida que tiene un pocesador celeron de 2.4 ghz ps el caso es que corre demaciado lento el ubuntu mi pregunta es si tengo que modificarle algo para ser un poco mas rapido..? o instalarle algo??
