driver de modem

tengo el modem intel 536ep, habia intentado instalarlo en mandrake 9 sin exito, y me di cuenta de que el driver sirve hasta el kernel 2.4.18. y yo tengo el 2.4.19

hay manera de instalarlo o tengo que cambiar el kernel o que tengo que hacer?

Intenta instalarlo con ese kernel, y si no sirve, vuelvete al 2.4.18, aunque en principio deberia servir para el 2.4.19 y el 2.4.20

danos más pistas, pasos que has dado, errores que has recibido, etc etc

Ya está, ya tienes el módulo y el dispositivo..... qué más quieres ? ;)

Es decir, que ahí no veo errores "cruciales", algún otro error o información que creas que sea relevante ?

me decia que no encuentra el modem, volvi a instalar el mandrake y volvi a instalar el modem. ahora me dice que el modem esta ocupado, pero sigo sin poderme conectar

Has comprobado los permisos del dispositivo ?
