configurar lilo para que arranque dos distribuciones

Veamos inicialmente tengo windowsXP (hda1) y Slackware 12 (hda2), y justo hoy he instalado una segunda distribución que vendría a ser CentOS 5 (hda3).
Rechaze instalar grub porque ya tenía lilo.

El problema es que lilo no me deja arrancar CentOS

El lilo.conf lo tengo de la siguiente manera, omitiendo los primeros comentarios.....

boot = /dev/hda
message = /boot/boot_message.txt
prompt
timeout = 1200

Cuando guardo los cambios del lilo (lilo -v) me sale el siguiente error
