Me ha llegado un correo en inglis de breezeland que parecen ser malas news, pero como no me he enterao bien lo pongo aqui, a ver si un buen samaritano lo traduce
As you will know by now, Breezeland was the target of a major SPAM attack which
began on Sunday 18th. This attack resulted in Breezeland being cut off from the
network by its provider. We managed to get this particular issue resolved after
a day of negotiations with our provider.
A few days later, we were to learn that ICANN, the world registrar of domains,
had received complaints about the spam coming from the Breezeland server. ICANN
then began proceedings to take down our domain name from its registry. This
would have meant the end of the Breezeland.com name.
We were completely powerless to prevent all these events. However, we should
never have allowed unrestricted use of the php mail function. You can rest
assured that when we get back online, php mail function will stay switched off
until a solution is found.
It would seem that those individuals who planned the demise of Breezeland.com
came very very close to achieving their aims.
We would like to send apologies to all our members for the inconvenience caused.
We are truly sorry that our negligence regarding the php mail issue has caused
so much damage, not only to the Breezeland name, but also to the countless
sub-domains that we host.
We are continuing to negotiate with ICANN and expect a result in the coming
days.
A bit of good has come out of this whole experience though. At least now our
members can see how far people are willing to go to bring us down. That at least
shows us, and our members, that we must be doing something right.
For as long as we have the support of our members, it does not matter who may
want to destroy the Breezeland project. Breezeland will not disappear.
Breezeland is here to stay and we will always offer the best free hosting and
much more.
Thank you for your support.
We will be back up in a few days. Bigger and better.
Po eso que ni jota xd
