Mi recomendación::

No te enredes comiéndote todos los manuales que puedan haber..., sólo repásalos. En Maestrosdel Web hay uno muy bueno, corto y sencillo, leetelo (<a href='ir.asp?http://www.maestrosdelweb.com/editorial/articulo.asp?phpintro' target='_blank'>http://www.maestrosdelweb.com/editorial/...</a>), no necesitas más.

Luego que 'medio-entiendas' bájate FoxServ (eso hice yo) y empieza a practicar en un buen servidor que corra PHP y MySQL, Multimania <a href='ir.asp?http://www.multimania.com' target='_blank'>http://www.multimania.com...</a> de Lycos Francia es excelente. Bájate los scripts que más te gusten de Hotscripts (<a href='ir.asp?http://www.hotscripts.com' target='_blank'>http://www.hotscripts.com...</a>) y úsalos en tu web, personalízalos a tu sitio y así aprenderas a dominar el mejor lenguaje ServerSide.

Así aprendí yo. Pero no te aseguro que tú también, eres libre de gastar tiempo leyendo tutoriales, pero sí quieres hacer esto. En estas webe ncuentras unos muy buenos.
