[SOLUCIONADO] No me funciona Jquery

Amigos buenos dias, recurro a ustedes ya que me estoy iniciando en jquery y poder aplicarlo de mejor manera en mi trabajo, en estos momentos estaba practicando con un ejercicio bastante simple , pero el problema es que no me funciona y la verdad es que no se si tendre algun problema en el codigo o quizas es otra cosa, espero me puedan ayudar.. aqui les dejo el codigo bastante simple que no me funciona..

Descárgate jQuery, y ponle esta ruta en el head:

gracias por la ayuda ... baje el archivo , lo deje en una ruta similar y no funciona :/

copie y pegue este codigo...
y dentro del div agregue el formulario, dentro del head puse el script con el jquery pero tampoco funciono :(

Prueba con esto

Gracias amigo por tu ayuda, disculpa la demora ya que el fin de semana me desconecto completamente.... tu ayuda me sirvio bastante... ya que ahora funciono, por lo que note ingresaste el $(#boton) en una variable llamada etiqueta, asi que supongo que a eso se debía el problema.
