Que tal,
esto deberia de ir en el foro de java, y ahi te podran ayudar mejor.

Pero tengo una duda, ese error te lo da en tiempo de compilacion o en tiempo de ejecucion?

si es en tiempo de ejecucion:
1.- Checa tu archivos xml de la configuracion de hibernate y de lo demas, seguramente ahi puede estar el error.
2.- Estas usando mysql? Ya creaste la base de datos? debe de estar creada antes de usar hibernate.

Gracias por el consejo sobre el post, lo hare.

Revisare nuevamente los xml y el error se produce cuando ya ha terminado de compilar y abre (imagino) la sesion con la bd. La bd esta creada, esto solo tiene como objetivo probar el schema-export y el hibernate.cfg.xml.
