curiosamente para algunos, en ninguno de los DTD se declara el evento onload para la etiqueta <img>. un fragmento del html loose.

  para asignarle onload a una etiqueta <img> tendrias que registrarlo por javascript. es decir, toma la referencia del elemento <img> y luego le asignas el handler. document.getElementById(image_id).onload = function_name.
