Crear Wordpress pruebas

Hola,

He creado en un subdirectorio "wordpresPruebas" un wodpress para hacer las pruebas antes de modificar el original.

La preguna es que tengo que modificar del .httacess para que me funciona correctamente?

HE echo:

1) Copiar bd de mysql y cambiar los datos de url de la bd mysql a wordpresPruebas
2) Configurar el wp-config con los nuevos datos
3) proteger el directorio cn password y crear un robot.txt para que no indexe este subdirectorio

Yo crearía un subdomino tests.misitio.com con una instalación independiente de WP que sea una réplica del sitio en producción y haría allí las pruebas. Aunque prefiero hacer las pruebas en local antes de cualquier modificación.

El subdirectorio debería tener un .htaccess propio, más o menos así

Respecto a lo que dice AlZuwaga, yo también pienso que es mejor usar un subdominio para las pruebas, si quieres hacerlas online.

Perdón por el dobleposteo, pero he visto un error en el código que te puse y no quiero que la corrección te pase desapercibida,

Si el directorio lo has nombrado tal como dices: wordpresPruebas (ojo, WordPress se escribe con dos s al final)

el código del .htaccess debería ser así:

observa que el nombre del directorio ha de coincidir en RewriteBase y la segunda RewriteRule
