Problema con los controladores de video VGA

Hola, tengo un problema y no puedo ver el portatil en la tv, creo que el problema es que no tengo la controladora de video VGA, ya que me sale con un signo "?". Al ver en everest que tenía una ati fui a su página y me descargué los driver, pero nada, el resumen del everest es:

Que salida tiene tu portatil, y que entrada de video tiene tu TV. Obvio que tambien requiere de drives, te pregunto esto porque la grafica la veo algo antigua, son chipsets SB450 y los actuales son los SB7xx y SB8xx.

Mi portatil tiene una entrada Vga in (con 15 agujeros) y la tv otra, aunque tiene hdmi, pero el portatilno tiene esa entrada.
Antes si lo podía hacer, pero ahora despues de formatearlo ya no hay manera.

A bueno, hace esto inicio, ejecutar, ahi en la ventanita que te salga, teclea esto dxdiag, enter, te saldra una ventana mas grande, ve a la pestaña de pantalla y mira que te dice, ahi te dira los datos basicos de la IGP que tengas instalada.

Muchas gracias y perdon por poner todo el informe, soy un poco inexperta, lo estoy descargando y luego lo instalaré y ya te contaré, ojalá funcione pq ya le he dado mil vueltas.
