Afortunadamente si pude corregir el problema, este es un copy & paste de donde obtuve la solucion (ya no encuentro el link :-\):

I thought I share this with you, though it might not work with every cards.
I have a Creative Sound Blaster Audio PCI64V / Audio PCI128 card and the
driver is en1371.
Run alsaconf and configure your card.
Login into KDE and start KMix. Right-click on the KMix system tray icon -
Show Mixer Window. Then tick Advanced.
You will notice that there will be two "IEC958", one on the top row, another
on the second. Disable the second, and the noise goes away.
Do this for every user.
