Alan Skerrett brings you ProperComfy, a swingin' free web hosting community. Using a shared Red Hat Linux box, with virtual web servers, we are offering free bannerless (no ads) web hosting (domains or subdomains), but first you must pass the ProperComfy Screening Process®. Due to the large number of web hosting requests received, we are sadly unable to reply to each and every one. However, exceptional proposals will be rewarded with a free web hosting account.

What constitutes a good hosting request, I hear you bellow. Well, here are some hints: be polite, be funny, give your full name, tell us about yourself, tell us whether you own a domain name or need a subdomain (i.e. subdomain.propercomfy.co.uk). We're also suckers for pretty design, so URLs to previous work or screenshots of your proposed site are welcome. Most importantly though, tell us about the proposed content of your site and why the web-heads will want to visit in their hordes.

Our current internet link dictates that we have a physical limit of 2.7GB per day. That's for all sites hosted on this web server. Current usage is around the 0.2GB per day mark, so while sites' bandwidth usage isn't strictly monitored, we obviously don't want a minority of hostees hogging the resources.

We have a "vision" here at ProperComfy; we want to provide free, fully-featured, high-performance web hosting with no ads to as many webmasters as we can. In order to achieve this, all revenue from advertising is used to improve ProperComfy's internet link and hardware.
