Actualizar firmware del DVD-ROM

For there exists other region settings WITHIN the software (OS, players...) that need to be bypassed.
There are actually up to 3 region protections on a system:
- 1 in the DVD drive
- 1 in the Operating System (windows)
- 1 in the software player (eg. WinDVD, PowerDVD...)

When you flash your drive with a region free firmware, you only get rid of the 1st region restriction, but you still have these other 2 to defeat!!!.

So, unless a program like drive info or CDVD info or Drive Info (see the download section on the Homepage) tells you that your drive is still protected, your drive IS region free, and the problem comes from the software region settings

To bypass that, you need to use programs such as DVD Genie or DVD Region Killer (the later is highly recommanded).

Segun el link que pones dice que solamente quita la proteccion del lector, pero que aun tienes que lidiar con la de Windows y el SW, por lo que tienes que usar algo como el DVD Genie.
