Por alguna razon parece que los españoles lo tenemos cortado....¿?¿?¿?
El caso es que en el whois he puesto
www.elpais.es y elpais.es y me sale:

Es decir no parece que valga para dominios .es (como por otra parte decia yo que uso este whois bastante a menudo para ver ips).
Pero voy mas alla y veo que no tengo toda la razón:
Si pongo google.de o google.fr si me salen resultados, lo que me demuestra mi afirmación que el whois de nic-es es una _______ (pongan aqui su descalificativo favorito)
Por si sirve de algo. De ripe.net:
"No, the RIPE NCC does not register domain names. Currently, the RIPE Database contains non-authoritative information about some domains, but this information will be moved to the databases of the national country-code domain registries. "
Vamos que no se dedican a esto primordialmente y que sus datos no tienen porque ser los mejores en lo que a dominios se refiere.
