La solución para poder omitir dicho símbolo que se sitúa en un Stacked column o en un Bar, es con el siguiente código:
ch.Series(strNomSerie).SmartLabelStyle.CalloutStyl e = LabelCalloutStyle.None
ch.Series(strNomSerie).SmartLabelStyle.CalloutLine AnchorCapStyle = LineAnchorCapStyle.None
