Cambio de nombre de archivos

Hola, gracias por su respuesta, ya cheque dichas paginas y utilice el siguiente codigo:

Código PHP:

rename("/files/".$fol.".pdf", "/files/".$fol."-c.pdf");
                header("Location: home.php?num=$fol");
 

Dond la variable $fol es el nombre del archivo al que le quiero cambiar el nombre, de hecho solo deseo agregarle un guion y la letra c, pero me aparece el siguiente error:

No se si me puedan ayudar con este error, de antemano gracias por su atencion.
