Mira para que manipules tu archivo host, puedes emplear un programita que se llama hosts expert. El archivo hosts debe contener:

127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost

si tu archivo fue alterado, elimina todas las lineas que no sean las de arriba, las que tienen # al inicio de linea son comentarios y las activas estas solas.
