¿Diferencia entre los fetch?

El assoc regresa los valores con un indice asociativo, suponiendo un SELECT foo FROM bar:

Código PHP:

$row = mysql_fetch_assoc($result);
echo $row['foo'];
 

El row regresa pero numericos:

Código PHP:

$row = mysql_fetch_row($result);
echo $row[0];
 

El object un objeto:

Código PHP:

$row = mysql_fetch_object($result);
echo $row->foo;
 

Y el array te regresa ambos:

Código PHP:

$row = mysql_fetch_array($result);
echo $row['foo'];
echo $row[0];
