¿Eso lo sacas de alguna fuente fiable? yo sé que se recomienda pero más que nada por que es lo que la W3C estipula, pero de ahí a que Google ignore <b> y sólo tenga en cuenta <strong> ...

Ultima Guía Google para Webmasters, Matt Cutts, aunque solo basta con una W3C consorcio creado para dictar los estándares de la web, que como las paginas we son de la we se publican en la we y se ven en la we, deberían ser compatibles con la we :)

Igual hay mucha info antigua de <b> pero eso ya se resolvió en principio igualandolas a ni vel peso, pero claro que si optas por semántica, código accesible, etc vas a lo sugerido.

Bottom line according to Matt Cutts, Google treats both tags the exactly the same. At least they did back in 2006 when he made the video.
