validar sitio con links que contienen "&"

Hola.

Mi problema es el siguiente...mi sitio web está basado en php y mysql.
En la base de datos tengo links de otros webs que contienen el dichoso caracter "&"...pero que necesito y que están enlazados en mi página.

Por otro lado en mis páginas cuando son páginadas en php también genero links con "&"...aqunque estó me preocupa menos porque de una u otra manera tengo control y podría llegar a cambiarlos.

Por ambas razones no consigo validar mis páginas....aunque no tienen un sólo error..por cierto las intento validar en html 4.01 Transitional o en xhtml 1.0 transitional.

Mi pregunta es ...¿hay algún standard que soporte links de este tipo?

Also keep in mind that named entity references are case-sensitive; &Aelig; and æ are different characters.

If this error appears in some markup generated by PHP's session handling code, this article has explanations and solutions to your problem.

Note that in most documents, errors related to entity references will trigger up to 5 separate messages from the Validator. Usually these will all disappear when the original problem is fixed.
