Pues eso ke lo he conseguido creo macho.
En el fondo no era tan dificil, la cuestion era procesar las paginas htm y html en el servidor. Y con estas dos lines me funciona:

<add verb="*" path="*.html" type="System.Web.UI.PageHandlerFactory" />
</httpHandlers>
